Getting started with SkillResy is simple and takes just a few minutes. Follow these steps to create your account and set up your profile.
Step 1: Choose Your User Type
Open the SkillResy application.
On the “Select Your Role” screen, choose one of the two options:
Candidate / Professional: Select this if you’re actively seeking employment opportunities or want assistance with virtual meetings.
Student: Select this if you’re currently pursuing your education.
Tap the role that best describes you.
Select “Continue” at the bottom of the screen.
If you already have an account, select “Sign In” at the bottom of the page instead.
Step 2: Enter Your Personal Details
The registration process begins with collecting your basic information.
Required Information (marked with *):
Full Name: Enter your complete name.
Email: Provide a valid email address; you’ll use this to log in.
Phone Number: Include your contact number with the country code.
Password: Create a strong password for your account.
Confirm Password: Re-enter the password to confirm.
Optional Information:
LinkedIn Profile: Add one or multiple LinkedIn profile URLs.
Personal Website: Include your portfolio or personal site link.
Tips:
Create a password with at least eight characters, mixing letters and numbers.
Double-check your email; important notifications arrive there.
Use the eye icon next to each password field to show or hide what you type.
Click “Next” once all required fields are complete.

Institution: Select where you studied.
Graduation Date: Enter your graduation date in DD/MM/YYYY format.

Additional Degrees: Add more if you have them.
Certifications: Include any professional certifications.
Degree Not Completed: Check this box if you’re still enrolled or didn’t finish.

Add all of your degrees, starting with the most recent.

Upload Resume Option:

Start Date / End Date: Use DD/MM/YYYY formats.

On the “Ready to Out Fox your Resume?” screen, choose whether to upload an existing document or start from scratch.
Option 1: Upload Existing Resume
Perfect when you already have a draft and want Scout to optimize it for a specific role.
Select Upload Resume.
Pick a PDF or DOCX file (max 5 MB) from your device.
Let Scout parse the content, then customize it for the job you’re targeting.

Who Can See Your Profile:
Your profile information is private and only visible to you. It is used solely to personalize your SkillResy experience and is never shared with third parties without your explicit consent.
In future updates of the SkillResy platform, hiring managers and recruiters will be able to gain access to your resumes and career goals to help you find future employment.
Common Profile Updates
Scenarios When You Should Update Your Profile:
When you change your major or field of study
If your expected graduation date changes
When you discover new career interests or job titles
If you change your email address or phone number
After transferring to a different institution
When you want to add a profile photo
If you move and your hometown changes
Profile Troubleshooting
Can't edit profile information: Ensure you're tapping the correct edit icon (pencil symbol) for the section you want to modify. Check that you have a stable internet connection.
Profile picture won't upload: Check that your image file is in a supported format (JPG, PNG) and isn't too large. Try using a smaller image file.
Changes not saving: Verify your internet connection is stable. Make sure you're clicking "Save" or "Update" after making changes. Try closing and reopening the app.
Forgot password: Use the "Forgot Password" option on the login screen. You'll receive a password reset link at your registered email address.
