A.T. Permanent Placement Services, LLC under the brand name Skillresy (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) values your privacy. This Privacy Policy applies to personal information collected from individuals in the United States and, where applicable, from users in other jurisdictions, including the European Economic Area (EEA) and the United Kingdom (UK). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our student, recruitment, and job listing services, including but not limited to our AI-enabled resume, career builder, and job- matching tools (the “Services”). This Policy applies to information collected through our Website, Platform, and any related online services operated under the Skillresy brand.

We act as the data controller for personal data we collect about you, unless stated otherwise. By using our Services, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

2. Notice at Collection (California Residents)

We collect the categories of personal information listed in Section 3 below for the purposes described in Sections 4 and 5. We do not collect additional categories or use the information for materially different purposes without notice. 3. Information We May Collect

We do not collect sensitive personal information (as defined under applicable state laws) unless necessary to provide the Services — for example, payment details for transactions. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes beyond those authorized by law.

From Students/Job Seekers:

  • Identification & Contact information (name, age, email, phone, address)
  • School name, year of graduation, employment history, education, skills,resume/CV, references, hobbies
  • Job preferences (location, role, salary expectations)
  • AI Resume Data: Information you provide to build or optimize a resume; feedback or suggestions generated by our AI tools
  • Social Media profiles
  • Payment and billing details
  • Account credentials, including related password
  • Any other information you choose to provide in your profile

From Recruiters/Employers:

  • Business contact information (name, company, email, phone, trademarks/logos)
  • Number of employees at staffing agencies
  • Payment and billing details
  • Account credentials

Some of the information identified above may be considered sensitive data under certain laws. If required under applicable law, we will collect and process sensitive personal data only with your consent. If you choose not to provide or allow us to collect some information, we may not be able to provide you with requested features or services.

Automatically Collected Data:

  • Device and browser information
  • IP address
  • Cookies and tracking technologies (for analytics and site functionality)

Using automatic collection technologies helps us to improve our Services and to deliver a better and more personalized experience.

The technologies we use for this automatic data collection may include:

  • Cookies. A cookie is a small file placed on your device when you interact with the Services. You may refuse to accept or disable cookies by activating the appropriate setting on your browser or device. However, if you select this setting, you may be unable to access certain features of the Services.
  • Web Beacons. Some parts of the Services, and our emails, may contain small electronic files known as web beacons (also referred to as clear gifs, pixel tags, and single-pixel gifs) that permit the Company, for example, to count users who have visited those parts or opened an email and for other related statistics (for example, recording the popularity of certain content and verifying system and server integrity).

To the extent any of these automated technologies are considered a personal data sale, targeted advertising, or profiling, under applicable laws, depending on where you live, you may opt out from use of these automated technologies for such uses by contacting us at info@skillresy.com. Please note that some Services features may be unavailable as a result.

When you interact with the Services, there are third parties that may use automatic collection technologies to collect information about your or your device. These third- parties may include:

  • Advertisers, ad networks, and ad servers.
  • Analytics companies.
  • Your device manufacturer.
  • Your internet or mobile service provider.

These third parties may use tracking technologies to collect information about you when you use the Services. The information they collect may be associated with your personal data or they may collect information, including personal data, about your online activities over time and across different websites, apps, platforms, and other online services. They may use this information to provide you with interest-based (behavioral) advertising or other targeted content.
We do not control these third parties’ tracking technologies or how they may be used. If you have any questions about an advertisement or other targeted content, you should contact the responsible provider directly.

4. How We Collect Data

  • Directly from you (when you sign up, upload a resume, complete forms, send us an email, chat box on the app or website, etc.).
  • From recruiters or employers (if they submit candidate data).
  • From third-party sources (e.g., public job boards, LinkedIn,professional networking sites, social media sites) where permitted.
  • Through automated tools (our AI system may analyze and generate resume content or job-matching suggestions).

5. How We Use Information

We process your personal data for the following purposes and legal bases:

  • Provide, operate, and improve our Services
  • Match job seekers with recruiters/employers
  • Process subscriber (Student, Job Seeker, Recruiter) subscriptions and payments
  • Facilitate communication between students, job seekers and recruiters
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and our Terms of Service
  • Protect against fraud, misuse, or unauthorized access
  • For marketing and communications (with your consent)

6. AI and Automated Processing

Our Services use artificial intelligence to assist with:

  • Student study tools and quiz creation
  • Resume drafting, formatting, and keyword optimization.
  • Matching candidates with job descriptions based on skills and experience.

We may use automated decision-making to suggest job opportunities, in our career assistance tools, but final hiring decisions are always made by human recruiters/employers. You have the right to request human review, express your point of view, and contest any automated decision that significantly affects you.

7. Disclosure of Information

To Recruiters/Employers:

If you are a job seeker and choose to make your profile visible, with your consent we share your information, such as your identification and contact information, school name, year of graduation, employment history, education, skills, resume/CV, references, and job preferences and other information you choose to include in your candidate profile with recruiters and employers who subscribe to our Services.

Recruiters are contractually prohibited from:

  • Selling, renting, or sharing your information outside the hiring process
  • Using your information for marketing unrelated to recruitment
  • Retaining your information longer than necessary for hiring, unless required by law


Service Providers:

We may share information, such as payment and billing information or account set up information with third-party vendors (e.g., payment processors, cloud hosting, analytics providers, AI tools, IT support) who help us operate our Services (under strict data protection terms).

Legal Compliance:

We may disclose your personal information where required by law, legal process, or government request, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and Company.

Business Transfers:

If our company merges, sells assets, or undergoes acquisition, your data shared with us while using the Services may be transferred as part of the transaction.

Third-Party Links:

Our Services may include links to third-party websites or services not operated by us. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of such third parties and encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any information.

8. Do We “Sell” Personal Information?

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), providing candidate information to recruiters in exchange for payment may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information.

  • Students/Job seekers may consent at registration by choosing to create a profile that is visible to recruiters, opt out of such sharing by adjusting their profile settings or contacting us at info@skillresy.com, choosing not to create a profile or participate in the Services, or delete your profile and account information at any time.
  • Recruiters may only use candidate information for legitimate hiring purposes and must comply with contractual restrictions.

We do not knowingly sell personal information of minors under 18.

9. International Users and Data Transfers

Our Services are operated from the United States and primarily intended for users located in the U.S. However, users located outside the United States, including in the European Economic Area (“EEA”) and the United Kingdom (“UK”), may access our Services.

If you access the Services from outside the U.S., please be aware that your personal information may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may not provide the same level of protection as those in your jurisdiction.

We implement appropriate safeguards for such international data transfers, which may include:

  • An adequacy decision by the European Commission or UK government;
  • Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission; or
  • Other lawful mechanisms, such as explicit consent, transfer being necessary for contract for Services, or transfer being necessary for legal claims or vital interests

9A. EU and UK Data Protection (GDPR/UK GDPR)

Although our Services are operated from the United States and primarily intended for U.S. users, individuals located in the European Union (“EU”) or United Kingdom (“UK”) may occasionally access or use our Services. When we process personal data of individuals located in these regions, we do so in accordance with applicable data- protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”) and the UK GDPR.

Legal Basis for Processing

We rely on one or more of the following lawful bases when processing personal data of EU/UK users:

  • The processing is necessary for the performance of a contract with you or to take steps at your request before entering into a contract.
  • The processing is necessary to comply with our legal obligations.
  • We have a legitimate interest in processing your data (for example, to operate and improve our Services, maintain security, or respond to inquiries).
  • You have provided consent where required.

Your Rights (EU/UK Residents)

Subject to applicable law, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

10. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location (e.g., California, EEA, UK), you may have the following rights:

  • Right to Know: Request access to the personal information we hold about you.
  • Right to Correct: Request corrections to inaccurate information.
  • Right to Delete: Request deletion of your information, subject to legal and contractual obligations.
  • Right to Opt-Out of Sale/Sharing: Request that we do not “sell” or “share” your personal information with recruiters.
  • Right to Data Portability: Request a copy of your data in a portable format.
  • Right to Non-Discrimination: You will not be discriminated against for exercising your rights.
  • Right not to be subjected to solely automated decisions: with respect to legal or significant effects.

Some browsers and browser extensions support the Global Privacy Control (“GPC”) that can send a signal to process your request to opt out from certain types of data processing, including data “sales” as defined under certain laws. When we detect such a signal, we will make reasonable efforts to respect your choices indicated by a GPC setting as required by applicable law.

Important: the exact scope of these rights vary by state. There are also several exceptions where we may not have an obligation to fulfill your request.

11. Data Retention

  • Student and Job seeker information is retained while your account and/or subscription is active as needed to provide Services.
  • Recruiter information is retained for the duration of the subscription and as required by law.
  • We may retain limited data for legal, security, and backup purposes.

Company retains personal information only for as long as necessary to provide our Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. The retention periods vary depending on the type of information:

When personal information is no longer needed for the purposes outlined above, we delete or anonymize it in a secure manner.

Your Rights Regarding Retention

  • You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting us at info@skillresy.com.
  • If you are a California resident, you may also opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information at any time.
  • For EU/UK residents, you may withdraw your consent for processing or request erasure under GDPR/UK GDPR at any time.

12. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including encryption, access controls, and monitoring for unauthorized access. Personal information is stored on secure servers located in the United States. We use industry-standard safeguards to protect data during transmission and storage

We take appropriate measures to ensure that all personal data is kept secure including security measures to prevent personal data from being accidentally lost, or used or accessed in an unauthorized way. We limit access to your personal data to those who have a genuine business need to know it. Those processing your information will do so only in an authorized manner and are subject to a duty of confidentiality. Should there be any suspected data security breach, we will notify you and any applicable regulator of a suspected data breach where We are legally required to do so.

However, no system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your data. Any transmission remains at your own risk.

13. Children’s Privacy

We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under 18. If you are under 16, do not attempt to register for or otherwise use the Services or send us any personal information. If we learn that personal information has been collected from a child under 18, we will delete that information as quickly as possible. If you believe that someone under 18 has or may have provided us with personal information, we ask that you contact us immediately at info@skillresy.com.

14. Your California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, you have the rights outlined in this section. In order to exercise these rights, please see the “Exercising Your Rights” section below. If there are any conflicts between this section and any other provision of this Policy and you are a California resident, the portion that is more protective of your personal information a shall control. Right of Access

You have the right to request that we disclose certain information to you about our collection and use of your personal information (the "right to know"), including the specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you (a "data portability request"). We will provide you with the following information covering the last 12 months:

  • The categories of:
    • personal information we collected about you; and
    • sources from which we collected your personal information.
  • The business or commercial purpose for collecting your personal information and, if applicable, selling or sharing your personal information.
  • If applicable, the categories of persons, including third parties, to whom we disclosed your personal information, including separate disclosures identifying the categories of your personal information that we:
    • disclosed for a business purpose to each category of persons; and
  • sold or shared to each category of third parties.


If we have disclosed your Personal Data for a business purpose over the past 12 months, we will identify the categories of Personal Data shared with each category of third party recipient.

Right of Deletion

You have the right to request that we delete the Personal Data that we have collected from you. Under the CCPA, this right is subject to certain exceptions: for example, we may need to retain your Personal Data to provide you with the Services or complete a transaction or other action you have requested. If your deletion request is subject to one of these exceptions, we may deny your deletion request.

Right to Correct

You have a right to request correction of inaccurate personal information. We may require you to provide documentation, if needed, to confirm your identity and support your claim that the information is inaccurate. Unless an exception applies, we will correct personal information.

Right to Limit

You have a right to limit use and disclosure of your personal information only to what is necessary to perform the Services.

Right to Opt out of selling your personal Information

You have the right to request that businesses stop selling or sharing your personal information at any time (the “right to opt-out”).

Under the CCPA/CPRA a “sale” means: “Selling, renting, releasing, disclosing, disseminating, making available, transferring, or otherwise communicating a consumer’s personal information by the business to another business or third party for monetary or other valuable consideration.” This definition is very broad. This definition may include sharing job seekers’ contact details and resumes with recruiters in exchange for payment, i.e. subscription access to the Services. And while, a job seeker’s consent to allow recruiters to see its personal information may an exception to the definition,Company wants to be completely transparent with its users so that they know how Company uses and shares their data.

You can request to opt out of sharing your personal information as defined above by emailing us at info@skillresy.com.

You may also exercise your right to opt out by clicking the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link available on our website footer.

Right to Appeal

If we deny your privacy request, you have the right to appeal our decision. To submit an appeal, please contact us at info@skillresy.com. We will review and respond to your appeal within the time frame required by law.

Non discrimination for Exercising Your CCPA Rights

We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights under the CCPA. We will not deny you our goods or services, charge you different prices or rates, or provide you a lower quality of goods and services if you exercise your rights under the CCPA.

Right to Opt-out of Automated Decision-Making Technology (Profiling)

You can request to opt out on automated decision-making or profiling as defined above by emailing us at info@skillresy.com or using this preference form link to opt-out.

Exercising Your Rights

To exercise the rights described above, you must send us a request with sufficient detail so we can properly understand, evaluate, and respond to it, including sufficient information to allow us to verify that you are the person about whom we have collected personal data. Each request that meets this criteria will be a “Valid Request.” If the request does not meet this criteria, we may not respond. You do not need an account to submit a Valid Request.

We will work to respond to your Valid Request within 45 days of receipt. There is no charge associated with Valid Requests unless it is excessive, unfounded or repetitive. We will notify you if We believe a fee is required.

Under California Civil Code Sections 1798.83-1798.84, California residents are entitled to contact us to prevent disclosure of personal data and information to third parties for such third parties’ direct marketing purposes; in order to submit such a request, please contact us at info@skillresy.com.

Your browser may offer you a “Do Not Track” option, which allows you to signal to operators of websites and web applications and services that you do not wish such operators to track certain of your online activities over time and across different websites. Our Services do not support Do Not Track requests at this time. To find out more about “Do Not Track,” you can visit www.allaboutdnt.com.

Nevada Resident Rights

If you are a resident of Nevada, you have the right to opt-out of the sale of certain personal data and information to third parties who intend to license or sell that personal data or information. You can exercise this right by contacting us at info@skillresy.com.

Residents of Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Iowa, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New jersey, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Virginia may have similar rights to those described for California residents. We will honor applicable state privacy rights to the extent required by law.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date and we will provide notice of any such changes to the policy as required by law. The date the privacy policy was last updated is identified at the top of the page. We will notify you of changes to this policy by updating the “last updated” date and posting the updated policy on our website.
